Synopsis:
At a housewarming
party, Tina (Devinn Lane) reluctantly allows herself to be hypnotized by
her sister Fran (Shanna McCullough) and has a vision of two people having
sex. When she awakes, she is furious and accuses Fran of playing some kind
of trick on her. Later that night, Tina is still shaken up and her roommate
Shelly (Chandler) tries to calm her down but when she falls asleep, Tina
has another vision of the couple having sex. However, the vision soon changes
to a scene of the couple having a heated argument. Tina discovers that
their names are Mark (Kyle Stone) and Diane (Chloe) and watches as Mark
accuses Diane of sleeping with someone from work before storming out of
the house. With tears in her eyes, Diane turns and falls, striking her
head and waking Tina with a start. The next day, Tina has the vision again
but, this time, Diane asks Tina for her help, showing her a vision of a
distraught Mark blaming himself for Diane's death. Elsewhere, Fran is busy
with her husband Byron (Dillion Day) when she receives a frantic phone
call from Tina. Going to Tina's, Fran admits that she gave Tina a post-hypnotic
suggestion to be more 'open minded' and says the only way to fix it is
to hypnotize Tina again. Once again in a trance, Tina relives the argument
between Mark and Diane with herself as Diane. However, she also sees her
friend Jill (Sydnee Steele) having sex with Diane. When Fran awakens her,
Tina tells her she has a couple of things to do and they go to see Jill
and her husband Frank (Tony Tedeschi). Tina tells Jill that she knows she
seduced Diane and accuses her of starting the rumor about Diane sleeping
with someone from work. Frank recalls hearing the rumors and asks Jill
if what Tina says is true. Jill reluctantly admits to seducing Diane and
starting the rumor when Diane threatened to tell Mark what they'd done
but she says she never intended any harm. Tina just leaves in disgust,
visiting Mark to tell him the whole story and that Diane loves him.
Type of mind control: Hypnosis
Mind control scenes:
There are
two obvious mind control scenes when Tina is hypnotized by Fran but the
scenes where Tina has the visions of Mark and Diane could also be considered
mind control scenes. If you consider these to be mind control scenes, there
are four of them. The first occurs when Tina is originally hypnotized.
The second occurs when Tina goes to sleep that night. The third vision
occurs as Tina is just walking through the house the next day and the final
vision occurs when Fran hypnotizes Tina a second time.
Subjective Rating:
4 out of 5
If you don't
consider the visions to be mind control like I do, then this movie would
probably receive only a 2 out of 5 since the two hypnosis scenes are reasonably
realistic but very brief. However, if you consider the visions to be mind
control, then the movie is well worth watching. The scenes of Tina as an
unseen observer, watching Mark and Diane, are well done and the main plot
device of the movie. The only reason I didn't give the movie a 5 out of
5 is that, because this is an adult movie, there is a lot of sex scenes
and the sex scenes have nothing to do with the mind control. So, even though
it's the major focus of the plot, the mind control is still forced to take
a back seat to the sex.
